I used the idea of a book for my header since this challenge is going to be a journal of my life over the years.
I hope you enjoy viewing these pages of my life as they unfold. I know I will...

Page 56 -1st Prom Dress

I am very close to my niece. The day she was born I was so excited to finally be "Auntie Sue". We are friends and I love being in her life.

She just turned 16 and on the same day was asked out on her first date. That was hard for me.

Then last night she was asked by a different boy to go to prom. What???? Prom? Already?

I'm just not ready for this. I want her to stay little with long blond pigtails forever.

Then again, I am so proud of the woman she is becoming and the person she already is. I love her like my own daughter.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to go shopping for her dress today. I had a blast and will never forget this. One day we'll all be going shopping for her wedding dress. It better not be for at least 9 years though!!!

I chose this picture not only because it shows how beautiful my niece is, but I love the look on my sister-in-law's face and she looks at her. The perfect moment captured forever. Photography rocks :)

Wonderful capture of this moment. I always laugh when people look at me funny as I jump around with a camera catching seemingly normal scenes. In fact, family used to get annoyed when the camera was ever present. Nowadays they call to make sure I am going to be there. Capturing great memories is what this is all about.
