Not only did I have the pleasure of going to the dentist today, but so did my son Michael. Poor guy only had surface cavities so he didn't get the gas mask. I felt sorry for him but quickly forgot once it was my turn!
I have never done drugs, never had alcohol my entire life.
Today, I think I finally know what it feels like since my dentist was kind enough to crank up the gas for me because I was feeling quite stressed. I had a crown put on today and get another one put on tomorrow (I'm secretly soooo excited for it!). In case you are wondering, I told my dentist I love him while under the infuence. His name is Richard Parker if you need a good one and oh boy is he great!!! This is how I felt the whole time I was having my tooth drilled away :)
It was time to cut my Lu's hair. I love how long it was and looked so gorgeous on her but the pain she had to go through every time I brushed her hair just wasn't worth it. When she is older I'm hoping I can grow it out long again.
Side Note: I am doing a contest for a free photo shoot for my new studio! Check out the details on my Photography Blog. Yes, she loves it!!
I admit it. I'm still afraid of the dark. I am blessed/cursed with a vivid imagination that thinks of horrible things waiting for me it the darkness of night in my closet so I can't sleep unless the doors to the closet and bathroom are closed. I'm such a wimp!
Today I am taking a sick day and doing nothing but playing my favorite game ever on XBOX 360, Oblivion. Yes, I am a gamer girl but haven't played for a couple years thanks to life getting so busy. Feels good to kick some medieval butt again. I have two gamer tags. One is Siren and the other is AdamsRib, just so you know who not to mess with if you don't want to get your head served to you on a plate ;)
Someone's birthday present came in the mail today :) I think she likes it don't you? Of course Lu was jealous but being the goof she is made the most of it by pretending to be a doll in the box herself!
Michael is having a bad day. I have been begging him to get his hair cut since it's way too long and way too poofy. He finally agreed today and he hates it. I love it. Wish he would keep it shorter. He also has a huge nasty bruise from his Rugby game where someone cleated him on the leg. Ouch.
I woke up this morning to find I was missing an hour. I really liked this hour, it's usually filled with sleep and wonderful dreams. In my busy life this hour is very important to me. I just don't feel the same without it. If anyone finds it could you please return it to me? I don't want to wait until fall to get it back.
I am not a football fan AT ALL. To me it takes way too long and is boring. My hubby played Rugby as well as football growing up so our son decided to give Rugby a try this year and loves it. He had his first game today and I have to say I have a new favorite sport! Wow, it was exciting, non-stop, and I loved watching it.
Attempted to go to Disneyland today. It was so crowed it seemed like we were there the middle of summer! We left after a couple rides and Disney was even nice enough to give us new tickets to come back :)
Ever since I saw my friend Andrea's picture she took of her kids playing on the beach, I knew I wanted to do the same type of shot of my kids so that was a priority for our trip to Cali this year. I got so many I love but narrowed it down to these. Which one should I blow up? It's going to be a huge canvas on my wall. I just put these in order of how I took them. #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 I'll be posting others to my photography blog right after this if you want to see more :)
We were at Ryan's office tonight. The girls love drawing on the white board. Tonight Abby decided to draw a picture of her, Louisa, and her cousin Keslie all as princesses wearing crowns. Then she drew the king, drew and "J" on the crown and said, "Look mommy, it's Jesus!"
Didn't exactly want to spend my evening this way. The girls were playing upstairs and Ryan discovered that Lu had drank part of a bottle of Tylenol. She climbed up the shelving in the hall closet to get it and heaven knows how she got the top off.
We instantly took her to the E.R. It was horrible. We had to wait forever so they could do a blood test and then the part where they had to draw her blood, I can't think about. Seriously the hardest thing to do is sit and watch 3 nurses hold down your child and stick a needle in her to draw a huge vile of blood.
There was this amazing old man who was a volunteer in the E.R. that gave her a stuffed animal that is now her new best friend. They went through a lot together.
It turned out the levels were low enough that she was okay. She liked her new bracelet (name tag) they gave her.
I found out my mom was donating her wedding dress to D.I. and just about lost it. Of course I want it and asked if I could have it. It's so classic and simple and just plain beautiful - just like my mom.
This is the situation though. I thought it would be a great idea if I re-purposed the dress and designed and made a dress that both of my daughters can wear on their baptism day. My husband thinks otherwise. He thinks I should just save it as is and keep it as an heirloom.
