I received an email from someone that follows my 365 blog with a request for my photo of the day.
A friend of his was just killed in Iraq and he wanted me to take a patriotic photo in memory of his friend who was a 20+ year LAPD officer and Sergeant Major killed by an explosive device.
In memory of those fallen heroes that may be gone, but the people of your country will never forget you or your sacrifice.
Thank you.
A special thank you to Lt. Waddell who posed for this photo for me.

Thank You! The picture is perfect as always. His name is RJ Cottle; he was a friend, an LAPD SWAT team leader, a Soldier, a Husband, a Dad, and a Great Man that we will send to his final home on Tuesday. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN for taking time to honor my friend and all of the soldiers that have served our country. I love it..
So perfect! I love this Suzanne. Well done.
We'll mourn the loss with his family and friends for the sacrifice he made for us all.
A great reminder that when we pass someone on the streets who is in service to our country to be sure to say "thank you"!
This photo is stunning. My brother is in the Army and is currently in Iraq. This photo speaks completely to my heart. Thank you.
And to the anonymous writer. My heart goes out to your friend's family and friends. Thank you so much.
Really a great picture. You should get it in print or something.
