I need to vent. I don't want to post my picture of the day with this since it has nothing to do with what I need to say!
There are many hard lessons to learn in photography. The biggest and hardest for me is that no matter what original idea you may have that is so neat no one could possibly have done it, it's been done. Yes, it has ALL been done!
My week by week pregnancy updates will no longer be so exciting and fun for me. I was going to do the size of my baby every week, as a seed, fruit, whatever compared to a quarter, and then pictured in another way. As soon as I started showing I was thinking I would have it in the picture with my belly.
Well, I just saw another pregnant photog on Facebook who is doing the same thing! Ugh, hard lesson to learn. It's so hard to really be creative once you've seen it done because all you see is their pictures. Oh well, I'm still excited for my baby who by the way, is a blueberry this week!
***Added Note: Okay, I guess everyone got the wrong impression here. I am NOT giving up on my weekly prego pics. I was just frustrated because it will be harder now that I've seen someone else do it. Please, you really thought I of all people would give up on a challenge? Regardless, this is MY pregnancy and I will have these pictures forever and someday this baby will see the pics and love them no matter who else did them too. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression everyone!!***

It is so funny you say this. Today I saw your Lentil bean (I remember seeing it on baby center) post and thought what a cute Idea I need a cute Idea. So then Im reading my week on baby center today and saw we were a blueberry and my first thought was what cute Idea would Suzanne do with a Blueberry. I think you should stick with it, you're the only one I know with the idea. I wish I could be as creative as you! I try but my issue is falling through with it.
I agree. You are the only one that I know of that would be doing it. SO, I think it's original, and I would LOVE to see it. :)
You should most definitely not let yourself get discouraged by finding others doing a similar idea. You are right, most any idea is never completely original, yet how YOU do the idea can be original. Find a new way to display and express the idea. Take on the creative challenge to approach it somehow differently. Only YOU have your creative eye, and different things will come as a result!
SU-ZANNNE! NOOOooooo... you must go on. This must be absolute pregnancy hormones because the Suzanne I know would do just what Jeremy said, and approach it differently. Your 365 book will be amazing to have a picture each week of this little munchkin coming to life! Don't let that other photog get you down!!! I won't let it! Keep going... go back

You should do week by week updates compared to the size of various toys you have lying around your house (ie: Baby is the size of a Lego Guy Head today!). People always compare babies to food. It weirds me out a little (o:

This idea is so fun! Whether is has been done before or not it is so fun hearing about the size of your baby and makes me wish I would have done that when I was pregnant!
