Tattle

I hate when my kids tattle on each other for every little thing but how can I get mad at either one when Abby writes this note to tell me it was Lu who wrote on the door?

I think I'll leave it for a while as a reminder to not stress so much over the little things.

Memorial Day

What is Memorial Day to you? Is it just another day off to have a barbecue in the backyard?

To me it is so much more. It is a day we spend together as a family visiting those who have gone.


It's a day we remember our ancestors, since it is important for my children to know who and where they come from.


It is a day we pay respects to those who gave some, and those who gave all for our right to be free.


It is a day we REMEMBER, and I hope we will never forget.

Heavenly Dreams

I just love little squishy tiny baby faces when they smile in their sleep. Doctors say it's gas, I say they are dreaming of heaven where they just came from and all their happy memories there.

Draper Temple

Day two, and the ceremony was held at the beautiful Draper temple.

Miracle Tree

I shot the first day of a two day wedding today. Today were formals and the reception, tomorrow is the ceremony and a family luncheon.

The reception was held at the bride's home in Provo. It was a beautiful setting and for sure the most beautiful I've shot. In the front yard was the most amazing tree with gray bark and bright pink huge blossoms. The bride's grandmother had the tree brought here from Europe years and years ago. Because of the strange northern spring we have had this year, it bloomed for the first time in 10 years. What a miracle for this amazing bride's wedding.

Missing Photo

Had more computer problems. The new hard drives didn't want to work with each other and kept fighting so it made my computer maddeningly slow to edit on.

Ryan just re-did my computer so it works beautifully now. Only problem is that I can't find a picture for today. Don't know if I even took one or not, can't remember. So today will just be my babble. Sorry.

Shaving

Michael shaved for the first time today!!!! I'm a little sad. Notice his awesome U2 shirt we got him at the concert last night.

U2!!!!!!!!!!!

U2 was even more amazing than I hoped it would be. I went to their Vertigo concert last time they were here and I think this one was better! The stage was amazing, we had great seats, and of course, the music was perfect. Oh, and did I mention how sexy Bono is?

Monkey

I love to babysit. Just know that once your baby is in my care, you have no control over how I choose to dress them and take pictures!! I love you baby Magi.

Raining Hail

Shopping at Harmons

My local grocery store is having a baby contest. You had to take a picture of your baby in their store. I got my sister-in-law to bring my nephew and we took some fun pics of him. Abby gave me this mini rose bush for Mother's Day. It reminds me of her.

Starting Over

I finally have my computer up and running again. My hubby spent all night setting it up for me. I still don't have all my stuff from the old hard drive but at least I can get back to work. It's like learning how to edit all over again since I am trying to re-create all my old Lightroom presets and brushes that I lost.

Cookie

I gave Lu a cookie today and she said, "Mommy, I love you more than cookies."

Pony Rides

Lu went to a birthday party today and got to ride a pony. The look on her face cracks me up. It's as if she is out on the prairie after a long day of herding cows.

Growing Up

I'm obsessed with the fact that my kids are growing up so fast. It's the biggest reason I do this 365 blog so I'm forced to take more pictures of them.

My 7 year old's harp teacher is getting married. When she mentioned doing her bridals, I immediately got this idea in my head of shooting her and my Abby with their harps. I saw the picture as symbolic of the young girl just starting out looking towards the beautiful woman she becomes. I can only hope my daughter turns out to be as amazing as Marielle, her teacher.

Green

I love all the green leaves starting to grow on the trees. I love green and I've missed seeing it.

Feathers

In case you've been living in a closet for the past few months everyone old and new is putting these feather extensions in their hair. I have not given in to the obsession and don't think I ever will. I guess I'm just not cool enough but my niece is! ;)

U2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got this amazing surprise in the mail today. Woohoo! I'm so excited, thanks Ryan. Only problem is he found out he has to go out of town on business now so I'm taking my son instead. How fun is this going to be?!!!

Rollie Pollie

I loved playing with rollie pollies when I was a kid and now my Lu does too. We made a little home for this guy so she could keep him for a couple days.

I didn't take a picture today. Didn't really care to so I didn't. I deserve a break right?

$5,300 is what I was quoted to recover the info off of my hard drives. I think my face looked a whole lot like this!

Green Thumb Mother's Day Gift

Today is mother's day. I bought a plant and a gift card for my mother-in-law since she loves gardening. When I woke up this morning I wanted to do something more to go with it to make it more personal so I went down to my sewing closet to see what I could dig up to make a gardening apron. I found a shoe holder that I wasn't using anymore so I cut off one of the rows, trimmed it with fabric and added straps and then used blue and green paint to do my kids handprints on the pockets. Then I wrote, "Look Grandma, We Got Your Green Thumb!" on the 4th pocket. Grandma Jo loved it :)

Today was my first time doing two seniors at once and they are also best friends. Made for a super fun shoot!!

Crazy Hair Day

Today as we were out the door Abby remembered it was "Crazy Hair Day" at school so I made it as crazy as I could as fast as I could. We even stuck monkeys all over in her hair. Thought it turned out pretty fun. She loved it and kept making crazy faces for me!

Germs

Louisa got my water bottle and drank out of it and said, "It's okay if we share spit since we are bof girls mom."

UGH

It's a good thing I have so many photo shoots booked or I wouldn't be doing my photo a day. I'm so frustrated with my computer situation the last thing I want to think about is taking pictures for this blog.

Kenedi

I love working with High School Seniors. Especially the ones that laugh the whole time like Kenedi.

I cracked open an egg today and found twins in it. I wonder if they would have been identical ;)
