My girls are the best of friends and the worst of enemies. Now that my 6 year old is starting 1st grade I'm hoping they don't miss each other too much.

Got my girls some nail polish that washes off easy. They love it, and I love not having to throw away things covered in the real nail polish anymore :)

Having a rough couple of days. Yesterday the shower, today the ceiling fan. I think I'm in a rut.

Obviously nothing inspired me today. I took a picture of my shower, that says it all.

Page 230 - Pouring Rain

Today it starting pouring rain. I can't remember the last time it rained this hard!

Then everything started going downhill. I found several windows leaking tons of water and then water started dripping from the ceiling in my family room!!! I put towels in all the window sills to soak up the water and a pitcher to catch the steady drip from the ceiling.

Ugh, when it rains, it pours.

Taking this reminded me of when my 6 year old was little and she used to look at a pan cooking on the stove and say, "Isa Haa" (it's hot).

Two year olds are so challenging to shoot. They are super active and won't sit still for ANYTHING. It's a good thing they also happen to be cute and fun!!

Today we learned about editing in Photoshop.

I myself am a Lightroom girl so I challenged myself to get the same effect she gets in Photoshop, in Lightroom. We also learned about texture and bringing out texture in the background.

I didn't really get to take any pictures today so I just took a picture of texture :)

Day 2 of Brianna's workshop and I must say this woman is a genius!! So glad I got the opportunity to learn from her.

Let's just say it was sooooo hard to pick just one to post today!! More to come on my photography blog in a few days.

Today was my first day of the Brianna Graham workshop.

We learned about studio lighting and how she sets up hers. This is the type of studio work I have dreamed of getting and now that I know how, I am going to go and buy new equipment so I can get this type of photo in my own studio. So excited!!

It's my birthday tomorrow and I will be at the Brianna Graham workshop all day.

They asked everyone coming if they would take a self portrait for the workshop so I decided to theme mine around my birthday.
