Well, my new baby niece is here and she couldn't be more perfect. She is tiny - 5 pounds 12 oz. and 17 1/2 inches long. They named her Mattalyn which is their names, Matt and Chalyn, combined. Cute huh?
Sorry if this pic is a little too graphic for some of you but it's my favorite shot. She came out and looked right at me and I caught it. I think there is nothing more beautiful than the birth of a baby and I hope you see the beauty of it too.

This is an utterly amazing shot! I got to photograph a birth for the first time recently in my work with www.nilmdts.org, and it was a phenomenal experience to record those first moments fresh out of the womb.
