I'm done. I'm at my wits end and I don't know what to do. I have very simple house rules for my children to follow and yet they can't seem to obey them. The one we have the biggest problem with is the "NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN THE FAMILY ROOM" rule. Every day, every meal, every snack, I catch my girls taking their food from the kitchen to the family room whether the tv is on or off. I've tried everything and nothing works. Please help. What can I do short of duct taping them to their seats whenever they eat?

Does it help if you know you are not alone in this battle? This one along with good table manners are at the top of my list...
We have this problem but for a while we did get a belt and belted Mikell to her chair because she kept getting up from the table at dinner. It's worth a try.
When you figure it out, will you share it with me? It doesn't help that Dad is the BIGGEST rule breaker of all in our house!!!
I got a blank sticker chart and had my daughter draw in the pictures of the things I wanted her to work on, like talking quietly and not eating in my bedroom. She gets a sticker every time she does one of those things. And then when it is all filled up she gets a treat or a toy from the dollar store. It has seemed to work for us!
Don't feed them.
